A few days ago I found myself involved in a class A rifle range challenge at a specially designed range on the Welsh Borders.  I'm not into rifles a great deal I have to be honest, but I had got through to the finals so decided to just enjoy the event.

Moments later and I found myself in a 'shoot off' for first place and the amazing news is that I won!  But the story doesn't end there.  There was this bloke who was also involved - a Mr. Mango I think he was called, but the strange thing was that he got really cross when he didn't win anything, and then started to make up stories about spinners and oranges and the like - wierd really.  Anyway it was a good moment to reflect on the fact that 'we're all winners with Jesus'.

I haven't seen that man since, but I have fond memories of my time with him, and somehow I hope he reads this and realises that it's the taking part that counts........
